All Alberta senior high schools and junior high/middle schools, public or private, are eligible to join ADSA if:
- They sponsor clubs that exist for the purpose of participating in ADSA sanctioned and sponsored events.
- Their Speech and Debate clubs are organized under a Teacher-Advisor (Coach).
Please note that individuals wishing to join ADSA must be registered students at an ADSA member school in good standing. The member school is responsible for collecting individual membership applications and fees. These must then be forwarded to ADSA by the school by September 30th.
If your school is not a member, but has a Debate or Speech club, please speak to your coach about membership with ADSA for your school.

Registration for the 2016-2017 is now closed for schools. Registrations for the 2017-2018 school year will be open in June of 2016.
Individual (Student) Membership - $20.00
Individual fees and forms are collected by the Coach of a member school's Debate or Speech Club.
Please note that student registrations have closed as of December 10, 2016. Students will not be allowed to register after that point.
The ADSA has a long-standing history in Alberta. If you are an ADSA alumni and are interested in volunteering in tournaments, please feel free to contact us or contact the host school of any tournament you would like to volunteer at.
All funding received by the Alberta Debate and Speech Association stays in Alberta. Membership is available to any young person in Alberta regardless of race, creed, gender, or monetary worth.
Participation in the ADSA program allows students to compete in debate and speech activities locally, provincially, nationally and internationally.
