John Baty Award

This award is named in honour of John Baty, the first Executive Director of the Alberta Debate and Speech Association from 1979 to 1989. John as the first coach to win the Worlds Debate Championships remains a legend in Alberta. It is presented each year to the Adult or Association that makes the most outstanding contribution to debate.
